HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The James Madison University professor charged for allegedly possessing child pornography will appear before a grand jury.

According to online records, William Chisholm Van Norman had two of his three felony charges certified to a circuit court grand jury during a preliminary hearing in Charlottesville Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.

One of the charges is Possession of Child Pornography, second offense.

The alleged offenses occurred last December and the 68-year-old Van Norman was arrested on April 29th following a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
