HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Fifty high school students from the Shenandoah Valley, Maryland and Washington, D.C., will gather at JMU’s Bioscience Building this Saturday for the “2025 Brain Bee” competition where they will work with human brains, demonstrate knowledge of the brain, and visit labs that are combating brain disorders.

Founded in 1998, the Brain Bee inspires teenagers worldwide to learn more about the brain and pursue neuroscience careers in order to help treat neurological and psychological disorders.

Saturday’s winner will represent Virginia at the national Brain Bee in April.

The event begins at 11am.
