JONESBORO, Ark. (JMU Athletics) – James Madison and Arkansas State combined for three runs in Sunday afternoon’s finale, but the Dukes fell, 2-1, in Sun Belt Conference baseball at Tomlinson Stadium.
The Dukes dropped to 12-14 (4-5 Sun Belt), while the Red Wolves improved to 18-9 (5-4 Sun Belt).
Junior Josiah Seguin led JMU at the plate, going 2-for-4 at the plate.
How It Happened
Third Inning
Arkansas State broke the scoreless tie with a solo homer from Kaden Amundson.
Fourth Inning
The Red Wolves made it a 2-0 score with a sacrifice fly.
Sixth Inning
JMU got on the board as senior Jack Guerrero singled and moved to second on a wild pitch, before scoring on an error after redshirt sophomore Clay Thompson hit a grounder to second base.
