Jeffrey C. Moscicki, 71, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, February 2, 2024, in Charlottesville, VA. Born December 21, 1952 in Camden, NJ to the late Conrad and Margreta Moscicki.

He grew up in what he referred to as the “Center of the World” splitting his time between his hometown of Collingswood, NJ and Ocean City, NJ. He moved to Charlottesville, VA in 1979 where he met the love of his life, Janet, and enjoyed over 38 years of marriage together. They had two sons, J.C. and Jarrad whom both brought lots of joy and pride to the family. Later in life, Jeff brought two more “kids” into the family, Donkey and Shrek, his beloved goats. Anyone who knew Jeff heard countless stories of his entire family.

He had a distinguished career in the medical and clinical research field, specializing in anesthesia and pharmacology at the University of Virginia. He was part of the UVA Community Credit Union for more than 30 years, where he served as Chairman of the Board since 1998 and played a large role in shaping how the Credit Union has grown over the years.

He volunteered as a scout leader for his sons as well as a baseball coach for both McIntire Little League and Peachtree Babe Ruth League. He was very proud to combine two passions by leading the UVA Credit Union sponsored Little League team to win the City Championship. Jeff was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for more than 27 years while also teaching boating safety classes alongside his two sons as a volunteer for the VA Department of Wildlife Resources.

He found peace and tranquility on the water at his second home on the Chesapeake Bay in Deltaville, VA. Time there was always spent boating, fishing, and relaxing on the dock.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, J.C. and Jarrad; and sister Elizabeth Moscicki. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Shaffer.

Jeff will always be remembered for his infectious smile, dedication, integrity, compassion, and humor.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m., on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 W. High Street, Charlottesville, VA.
