CLEVELAND (JMU Athletics) – No. 18 James Madison swept the Mid-American Conference field hockey weekly accolades, with Madelief Molier, Ava Drexler-Amey and Molly Schreiner all earning honors.

Molier was named MAC Offensive Player of the Week, Drexler-Amey was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week and Schreiner was recognized as Goalkeeper of the Week. It’s the first weekly award for Molier and Drexler-Amey, and the second for Schreiner.

Molier produced a four-goal weekend, highlighted by a hat trick in a 3-1 win at No. 8 Michigan on Sunday. Her three-goal outing was the first multi-goal game of her career and marked the first hat trick by a Duke this season. Additionally, her performance against the Wolverines extended her scoring streak to three games, tied for the longest stretch in her career. Molier tied for third in the conference in goals (7) and ranks 23rd nationally in goals per game (0.88).

Across JMU’s two wins this weekend, Drexler-Amey and the Dukes’ defense helped turn away 21-of-23 (.913) penalty corners, personally making key blocks in both games. James Madison ranks third in the Mid-American Conference in goals allowed average (1.89) and has held opponents to only one goal in five of their last six games. Additionally, the defense posted first-half shutouts against both the Chippewas and the eighth-ranked Wolverines, giving JMU seven first-half shutouts through nine games.

Schreiner had a stellar weekend in goal, highlighted by a career-high 12 saves against the eighth-ranked Wolverines on Sunday. In Friday’s contest against Central Michigan, the redshirt sophomore logged 38:31 of action, making a pair of stops and allowing no goals. Sunday’s performance against Michigan marked her third career game with double-digit saves, and the second this season. In total, Schreiner registered 14 saves and a staggering .929 save percentage. The State College, Pa. native ranks second in the Mid-American Conference in save percentage (.754), third in goals allowed average (1.734) and fifth in saves per game (5.11).

The Dukes are back in Harrisonburg to host Longwood on Friday at the JMU Field Hockey Complex. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m.
