Jackson Morris Fendley, 19, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024..
Jackson was born on June 24, 2004 in Harrisonburg, and was the son of Morris and Vicki Fendley. He was a student at Virginia Polytechnic and State University where he was a Neuroscience major and a Music minor. Jackson was an avid outdoorsman who admired the stars as well as a beautiful sunrise or sunset. He enjoyed hiking, skiing, and playing tennis. Jackson was also a talented musician and could always find the perfect song to share with a friend. He played classical guitar and learned many rock songs by ear. He loved animals, and they naturally gravitated to him. More than anything he loved his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Jackson is survived by his sister, Caitlyn Fendley; girlfriend, Veda Jadcherla; grandparents, Bill Agerton and Glenda and Danny Fendley all of Georgia; aunts, uncles, cousins, Lori and Jeff English and their son Aidan, Jill and Ryan Youngblood, and their daughters Ella and Alia, Danielle Fendley and her son Daniel; Marshall Fendley and his daughters Alexis, Summer and Ruby Rose; great-aunt Pat Reed; a large extended family; and many special friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Anne Agerton; an uncle, Jon Fendley; and a special grandmother, April Danielson.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 2 PM at First Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg.
The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
