HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Emergency Communications Center (HRECC) announced they will deactivate their Facebook page effective Thursday, May 1, 2025.

According to an online post, the deactivation is part of their commitment to enhancing cybersecurity and ensuring that their focus remains on delivering uninterrupted, high-quality service to communities and public safety partners.
HRECC said they provide a reliable Emergency Alerts system designed to keep people informed and safe during emergencies.
