HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – With the St. Patrick’s Day holiday coming up, Harrisonburg Police remind residents to not test their luck.
Sergeant Wayne Westfall explains in a video on the department’s Facebook page to designate before you celebrate.
“What I mean is, plan ahead on how you’re going to get home,” said Sergeant Westfall. “There’s rideshare options out there, between your transportation network companies. There are friends that you can call to come and get you. There are some taxis still operating in the city that you can contact. But designate before you celebrate, so you can do this again next year.”
Westfall added that driving under the influence is a serious, dangerous crime that can put your life and the lives of others at risk.
