HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Harrisonburg Fire Department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM to celebrate the opening of Fire Station #5 located at 450 Mt. Clinton Pike, Harrisonburg, VA.

Mayor Deanna Reed said during her remarks that although the station is beautiful, what makes it special is the people who come to work every day.

“The firefighters, paramedics and staff who serve with courage, humility and unwavering dedication,” said Mayor Reed.

Mayor Reed concluded by congratulating Fire Chief Matt Tobia, the Harrisonburg Fire Department, and the entire community.
