HARRISONBURG VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A burst of heavy rain caused flash flooding in Harrisonburg yesterday evening, closing several streets and leading to traffic trouble across town. The cloudburst began around five o’clock, prompting Harrisonburg Police to close part of Main Street north of Court Square, as well as a busy stretch of University Boulevard.
At one time, eight roadways in the city were closed because of the flooding. Last night’s flash flood warning has now expired, and Harrisonburg Police say that all roads have been reopened.
