UPDATE: The hearing for Christina Sue Ritchie has been continued.
ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Rockingham County woman accused of setting fire to a home near Fulks Run earlier this week was set for a court appearance later this afternoon that has now been postponed.
According to online records, Christina Sue Ritchie was scheduled for a 1 p.m. hearing in Rockingham County General District Court.
She is facing one felony count of arson in connection with a fire that destroyed a home in the 8300 of Brocks Gap Road on Monday afternoon.
Rockingham County Fire Chief Jeremy Holloway told Rocktown Now that the fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.
Ritchie was held without bond at Middle River Regional Jail.
