ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Rockingham County man who was charged in a shooting in Waynesboro on Memorial Day weekend had his hearing scheduled for yesterday afternoon continued until the end of the month.

Dustin Allen Dove of McGaheysville will now appear in general district court on July 30 for an attorney review.

Dove, 23, faces two felony counts, including malicious assault following a shooting incident on May 25 in the 1300 block of D Street.

The victim, Seth Wayne Wallace, 22, of Waynesboro, died a few weeks later.

The Waynesboro Commonwealth’s Attorney office continues to examine the details to decide whether further charges will be filed.

Dove remains in custody.
