ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A Luray police officer who was arrested earlier this summer for drunk driving in Rockingham County will have to wait longer to find out his fate.

According to online records, Michael Wagoner’s case was continued until September 19.

Wagoner was originally charged with DWI first offense after he was arrested on May 26. The class 1 misdemeanor is punishable by up to a year in prison and a $2,500 fine.

The former officer then failed to appear in General District Court on June 17.

Wagoner’s picture has since been removed from the town of Luray’s website. He was released on bond.
