AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The three men accused of defrauding Zachary Cruz – the brother of the Parkland high school shooter, Nikolas Cruz – had a status hearing Monday afternoon in Augusta County Circuit Court.

However, online records showed that the hearings for Michael Donovan and Richard Moore, both of Fishersville, and Timothy Shipe of Staunton, was continued until Aug. 19.

The issue appears to be counsel for Moore and Donovan, who face four felony charges each.

Meanwhile, Shipe faces two felony counts.

Prosecutors list Cruz as the victim, who inherited over $400,000 in life insurance following the death of his mother.

A trial date has been set for Dec. 2, but it will likely be rescheduled as it conflicts with Moore’s federal court case in an unrelated matter.
