If you’re planning on attending the parade, here is some road closure and parking information to take note of for the event:
- Road closures will begin at 9 am and last until ~6pm. Main Street from MLK Way to Gay Street will be closed along with Court Square. Mason and Liberty Street will remain open for easy parking access.
- City Hall and Rockingham County Admin parking will be prohibited from noon until 5pm.
“We are honored, once again, to host the Veterans Parade and invite every resident to take part in this important celebration. If you want to show your support, there’s no better opportunity than lining Main Street this Sunday. Seeing the community show up for them is a powerful reminder to our veterans that their service is never forgotten. Come early, cheer loudly, and help us make this year’s tribute a memorable one.” said HDR Events Manager, Jennifer Bayes in a release.
