HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce has announced that Rebekah (Blackwell) Kuller, Plant Controller for Danone North America has been elected as Chair of the Board of Directors, and Josiah Rider, Business Development Officer for Atlantic Union Bank, has been elected as Chair-elect.

Kuller and Rider will lead the Chamber into the launch of its new three-year strategic plan (2025–2028), which officials say is focused on delivering greater member value and strengthening engagement across all areas of Chamber programming.

Officials said in a release that the plan places members at the center—ensuring they have access to resources, advocacy, and opportunities to connect, while building a stronger, more unified business community.

“Our mission is clear: To Foster an Environment for Community Businesses to Thrive,” said Chris Quinn, President & CEO of the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce. “With Rebekah and Josiah stepping into these leadership roles, the Chamber is well positioned to advance our mission and deliver the kind of value and engagement our members expect and deserve.”

Rebekah succeeds Dr. Susan Schultz Huxman, former President of Eastern Mennonite University, as Chair. In her new role, she will guide the implementation of the Chamber’s strategic plan and champion member-focused initiatives.

“My family started a business in the Valley in the ‘90s so I’ve always been integrated with small and locally owned businesses,” said Rebekah. “I now work for a global and publicly traded company that manufactures in the Valley so I’m passionate about growing and highlighting businesses of all sizes. I want to help our community thrive as we find solutions to the opportunities and challenges our members face today.”

Josiah added, “The businesses in Harrisonburg and Rockingham are the lifeblood of our community. I’m excited to work with Rebekah, Chris, and the Board to ensure the Chamber continues to serve as a trusted voice and a partner in helping members succeed.”
