HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The City of Harrisonburg Public Works Department, along with Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance and the Arts Council of the Valley, will hold an event celebrating Downtown’s traffic cabinet art project.

The event will take place on Monday, Oct. 28, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and will include light refreshments and the opportunity to hear from each artist about their work. Details of each cabinet design will be hung in the Court Square “Marketplace Gallery” (the hallway outside of Capital Ale House and Court Square Theater), 41 Court Square.

Event Schedule:

  • 5:30 p.m. – Mingling, Beverages, and Snacks
  • 6:10 p.m. – Welcome and Project Background
  • 6:15 p.m. – Artists will talk about their work of art and participation in the project
  • 7:00 p.m. – Event End

The gallery will be up for display through December 2024. This event is free and open to all ages.
