HARRISONBURG, Va. – Harrisonburg Police are looking into a shooting early yesterday morning that sent a young woman to the hospital.

In a release, Lieutenant Chris Monahan said that officers located the 19-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the 100 block of North Main Street around 2 AM on Easter Sunday. She was taken to Sentara RMH with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say that a suspect description is not yet available as the investigation unfolds. They are asking folks to come forward with information about the shooting or any possible suspects.

HPD believes this was an isolated incident, and there is no further threat to the community.
