Sentara RMH has announced this year’s winner of the Golden Stethoscope award, which recognizes what it calls “outstanding” physicians on staff.

The hospital revealed on Friday that Dr. Heather Morgan, a radiation oncologist at the Hahn Cancer Center, was named the recipient of the 16th annual award.

The Golden Stethoscope is given to members of medical staff who show excellence in patient care, customer service, communication, and teamwork.

Now in her 18th year in Harrisonburg, peers and colleagues lauded Dr. Morgan’s kindness, saying in a release that she treats each patient with “undivided attention and compassion.”
