HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The man suspected in a shooting last year on North Main Street in Harrisonburg will not enter a plea and instead will have his case heard in front of a jury.
Alexander Ramos Perez was scheduled to enter a plea Tuesday morning in Rockingham County Circuit Court; however, according to online records, the hearing was continued and a judge set a July 1st trial date.
The 22-year-old Ramos-Perez faces three felony charges, including malicious wounding, after authorities accused him of being responsible for the shooting that took place during the early morning hours on March 31st.
A 19-year-old Rockingham County woman was hospitalized as a result. The trial is expected to last three days.
