HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The man suspected in a shooting last year on North Main Street in Harrisonburg has reached a plea deal with prosecutors.
According to online records, Alexander Ramos Perez pled guilty to two of the felony charges, including malicious shooting, during a hearing Tuesday morning in Rockingham County Circuit Court.
In exchange for those pleas, prosecutors elected not to pursue the other two charges.
Authorities accused the 23-year-old Ramos-Perez of being responsible for the shooting that took place during the early morning hours of March 31st of last year.
A 19-year-old Rockingham County woman was hospitalized as a result.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 7th.
