HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Harrisonburg man charged in connection with a shooting earlier this year has been indicted.

According to online records, a Rockingham County Circuit Court grand jury returned an indictment charging Alfred Dale Eppard, 60, with attempted second degree murder.

The charges stemmed from the shooting that happened on Feb. 19 on Peake Mountain Road west of Harrisonburg.

The 58-year-old victim was taken to UVA for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, Eppard is expected to enter a plea in the case next month.
