HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Gas prices across Virginia fell nearly two cents per gallon in the last week to an average of $3.44 today, according to a Gas Buddy survey.

Prices at the pump are now six cents lower than this time last month, the survey found in a study of more than 4,000 stations in the commonwealth. In the Harrisonburg market Monday morning, gas was slightly less than the state average with prices between $3.35 and $3.39 per gallon.

Nationally, the median prices dropped more than three cents per gallon in the last week to an average of $3.58 today. That is down nearly four cents from a month ago.

The national average for diesel also fell more than four cents in the last seven days to $3.90.
