HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Harrisonburg Fire Department (HFD) will be visiting residences from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM to check smoke alarms.

According to an online post, HFD will be in the following areas:

  • Stuart Street
  • Rockingham Drive
  • Chicago Avenue
  • Waterman Drive
  • N. Liberty St.
  • Sumter Court
  • Park Circle
  • Woodleigh Circle

HFD also said that those who are city residents are encouraged to contact them at 540-432-7703 if they need their smoke alarms checked.
