HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Harrisonburg election officials say they are working hard to make sure that there is election integrity for the November 5th election.

Voter Registrar Mark Finks held a presentation at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.

Finks told the council that he is aware of the increased security concerns around elections across the country.

Finks added that there will be 130 election officers working the eight precincts on Election Day and to guard against burnout and stress, he added that they will institute mandatory breaks and other strategies.

A reminder that early voting starts September 20 in the Friendly City as well as Rockingham County.
