HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The City of Harrisonburg is changing their trash pickup schedule ahead of the incoming snowstorm.
City officials say that trash that would normally be picked up on Monday, January 26 will now be picked up on Tuesday, January 27, weather permitting.
Officials note that residents should not place their trash toters at the curb until Monday night to allow snow plows to clear roads efficiently and safely.
Bulk and yard debris pickup for the week of January 26 will be canceled and any reservations that have been made will be honored the week of February 2.
The Recycling Center and Mobile Unit will be open on Saturday, January 24 and closed on Monday, January 26.
