HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — A fire earlier this month destroyed the local home of Marvin and Angela Knupp.
Now, a friend and co-worker of Angela Knupp has organized a GoFundMe page to help the couple rebuild. The goal is to raise $20,000 dollars.
Angela Knupp is the school nurse for Harrisonburg High School and the couple have four daughters, who all went to Harrisonburg City Public Schools.
Elizabeth Jerlinski, the organizer of the page said, “In speaking with Angela recently they are taking it one breath and one day at a time. They don’t know what lies ahead for them. From minute to minute there is so much to think about and plan. They do have a place to live for now. What they do know for sure is this will most likely be a 2 year process to rebuild. Angela has a beautiful family and they are all together right now sorting through insurance paperwork and basically figuring out what steps to do next. I know they are grateful for the loving, giving village of Harrisonburg City Public Schools and the whole Harrisonburg and Rockingham County friends who have reached out so far. They really don’t know what they need right now. It is my goal to set up this Go Fund Me page as an additional resource for the Knupps as they move forward.”
As of this morning, more than 100 people have contributed more than $8,200 dollars to the family.
