HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – Another local staple prepares to permanently close its doors at the end of the month.

Glen’s Fair Price has notified customers that the store’s final day open to the public will be December 31st.

In his online statement, owner Gary Stiteler expressed appreciation to the community, friends, and family who have supported the store since it was established in 1941.

In November, City Council approved the Harrisonburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority’s purchase of the Glen’s Fair Price portion of North Main Street with the intention of developing the property for both residential and commercial use.
