HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Average gas prices in Virginia have risen almost 18 cents in the last week, averaging 4.06 a gallon according to GasBuddy.

Prices in Virginia are almost 80 cents higher than a month ago and almost a dollar more than a year ago.

The national average price of gasoline has risen 12 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging 4.06 a gallon. The national average is up 65 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 85 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.

Meanwhile, the national average price of diesel has increased nearly 21 cents compared to a week ago and stands at 5.57 per gallon.
