Garry Lee Breeden, 73, of Elkton, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 21, 2024 at his home after a long battle with his health. He was born on December 4, 1950 and was the son of the late Wilmer Breeden and Ruby Mae Dean Breeden.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Nicky Lee Breeden and his sister, Linda F. Hensley.

Garry was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley. He was a member of Blue Ridge Independent Church in Elkton. He retired from Dupont in Waynesboro and he delivered the Daily News Record for many years after. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. Besides Jesus, his family was the most important thing in this world to him. He cared about others more than his self. His grandchildren were his world and he adored them like they were his own children. He will always be missed and loved by his family. While we are heartbroken to lose him here on earth, we know he is walking with Jesus and has no more pain and suffering. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him because you couldn’t meet a more kind, caring, compassionate, and loving man.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Meadows Breeden, whom he loved with everything in him; his daughter, Crystal Breeden Walton, whom he loved with his whole heart and her husband, Erik, whom he thought of as his son; brothers, Shirley Breeden and wife, Louise, Truman Breeden and wife Phyllis, Lonnie Breeden and wife, Bonnie; sisters, Doris Breeden and husband Calvin, Wanda Shifflett and Wilma Breeden; his grandchildren whom he loved like his own children, Tiffany Walton and fiancé, Noah Campbell, Hunter Walton, Katie Walton, Dylan Walton, Samantha Morris, Brittany Stevens and husband, Scotty; great-grandchildren, Haze Stevens, Mathew Morris and Thomas Morris.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Pastor Josh Shifflett officiating. Burial to follow at Elk Run Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at the funeral home.

Friends and family may visit the home of Garry Breeden anytime, and you may come to the basement entrance.
