Garland Franklin (Frank) Golladay, 76, departed this world peacefully on April 8, 2024, at UVA Health Haymarket Medical Center, Haymarket, VA, from complications of cancer and heart.

Frank was born on July 25, 1947, in Shenandoah County, the son of G. Z. (Gummy) Golladay, and Luba Turner Golladay, both deceased.

Frank is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Fadley Golladay, who he married on August 8, 1969. Judy and Frank were residents of Manassas, Virginia, for 45 years.

Frank graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, class of 1966. He entered the Army soon afterwards and served in Germany for three years.  After a short stint as a Fairfax County police officer, he returned to the Shenandoah Valley to work for Transvideo (Comcast). He moved to Manassas, in 1979, to become the Truss Plant manager for Herndon Lumber. He was then a self-employed contractor, before retiring from Richmond America in 2011.

Frank is survived by his brother, Ronnie Golladay (Jay). He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Golladay Green (Larry). Frank adored his nieces and nephews: Aaron Green (Anne), Kimberly Horn, Kristi Lineweaver (Josh), Bradley Phillips (Heather), Barton Phillips (Meg), Heather Phillips Donohue (Sean), Amber Dellinger Harold (Britton), Charles Dellinger (Amy). Great nieces and nephews included Ryan Green, Paige Green, Jada Horn, Rowan Horn, Grayson Golladay, Gabriel Lineweaver, Ainsley Phillips, Preston Phillips, Cole Phillips, Tyler Phillips, Wyatt Phillips, Owen Donohue, Reily Donohue, Peyton Donohue, Jackson Harold, and Hannah Harold. He is also survived by his Aunt Mary Lee Embrey, and Uncle Wayne Golladay, along with numerous cousins.

A family visitation will be held at Grandle Funeral Home, in Broadway, VA, on Sunday, April 14, 2024, 6:30-8:00 pm. Rev. Matt Sargent will conduct a Celebration of Life on Monday, April 15, 2024, 2:00 pm, at St. Luke’s County Line UCC, 107 Short Lane, Timberville, VA. The burial will be private.
