WAYNESBORO, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A former Waynesboro teacher has pled guilty to 16 charges of sex crimes.

Joseph Emmanuel Trust was in Augusta County Circuit Court yesterday where he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for 14 charges of child pornography, 1 count of forcible sodomy with a victim under 13, and 1 count of indecent liberties with a victim under 15.

Trust was arrested back in April for suspicions of having inappropriate relations with a minor, and in June, 7 more charges were added. In July, 37 more counts of distribution of child pornography were added, totaling 54 charges.

The prosecution is not proceeding with the remaining 38 counts.
