HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Funeral arrangements are set for a former Spotswood High School student who died in a weekend boating accident in North Carolina.

The funeral for Jackson Fendley will be this Sunday, June 30, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church on Court Square in Harrisonburg. The family will receive friends following the service.

Fendley, 19, died last Saturday on Lake Gaston when the boat he was riding in struck a dock.

Another passenger, Addison Sheahan, whose father teaches at Spotswood, was also involved but not injured.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
