HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Former Congressman Tom Perriello and several Harrisonburg community members held a roundtable discussion today at Sage Bird Ciderworks to discuss healthcare under the Trump Administration. 

During the roundtable, health care provider Makayla Venable talked about working with patients on Medicaid and Medicare and how her goal is to inform people. 

Perriello added by saying that anybody working anywhere in the system knows that people don’t stop getting sick; they just stop getting preventative care. 

Other speakers included health care provider Jena Crisler as well as health care storyteller Michaela Blosser, who shared her experience with health insurance.
