BROADWAY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Help continues to pour in for former Broadway Police Chief Doug Miller, who is raising money to cover legal fees so he can fight his termination.

The Broadway Town Council voted 6-1 to terminate Miller as chief during a called special meeting last Friday.

The following day, Miller set up a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising $5,000. At last check, he is nearly 20 percent of the way there after receiving an anonymous $400 donation earlier on Wednesday.

In his GoFundMe description, Miller wrote that he has worked long and hard in my law enforcement career and what they are doing is wrong.

He added that all the money raised will go to cover legal fees and anything left over will be donated to a non-profit charity.
