WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — The former owner of the Barn Restaurant in Waynesboro reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

Calvin Edward “Trey” Wilkerson the Third was scheduled to go to trial Monday morning on a dozen charges regarding embezzlement and failing to file tax returns.

However, according to online records, Wilkerson pleaded guilty to two of the embezzlement charges and in exchange, prosecutors decided not to pursue the other 10 charges.

A Waynesboro Circuit Court judge then sentenced the Crozet man to 10 years in prison with nine years, 11 months and 18 days of it suspended.

He will also serve three years of supervised probation upon his release.
