ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The First Lady of Virginia will be in Rockingham County on Thursday, September 19, for a fireside chat.

Psychologist and author Dr. Jonathan Haidt will be joining Suzanne Youngkin to talk about the risks of technology with younger generations.

The event will be from 7 to 9 pm at Mountain View Elementary School and will also be livestreamed.

Rockingham County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett will also be in attendance to facilitate community conversations with parents, educators, students, and families to discuss the best practices for the use of cell phones and social media both in and out of school.
