HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Harrisonburg High School’s first Varsity football game of the season has been postponed due to weather.

According to a social media post from Harrisonburg High School Sports and Activities, forecasted storms and heavy rainfall Thursday evening prompted school athletic officials to push the game back to next Friday, Aug. 30, at 7:00 p.m. The HHS Blue Streaks were set to play an away game against the Millbrook High School Pioneers in Winchester.

Incidentally, the first Junior Varsity football game for Rocktown High School against Hedgesville that was scheduled for  Wednesday evening was cancelled due to extreme heat.
