ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (Rocktown Now) – A mobile home in southern Rockingham County was destroyed by fire earlier today.

Emergency crews responded at 11:45 this morning to reports of a structure fire at the home in the 28-hundred block of Pleasant Valley Road.

Chief Jeremy Holloway with Rockingham County Fire and Rescue said that one person suffered minor burns.

“We did have one injury,” Holloway said. “A lady was burned on the arm and the shoulder, a little bit, and she actually took herself to [Sentara] RMH.”

Along with Rockingham County, crews from the Harrisonburg, Bridgewater, and Weyers Cave fire departments also responded to the scene. No emergency personnel were injured while responding to the fire.

Holloway said this afternoon that an investigation is underway.
