WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) – Waynesboro officials have issued an ongoing Burn Ban for the City.
The Fire Marshal’s Office says the ban is out of an abundance of caution due to the elevated fire dangers of dry conditions and gusty winds and will be in place until further notice.
The temporary restrictions ban outdoor cooking that utilizes an open fire and the use of portable outdoor fireplaces.
In most instances, Open Burning within Waynesboro city limits requires a Burn Permit that is issued by the Fire Department.
