AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) – Firefighters responded to a blaze in Augusta County yesterday morning.

Yesterday at around 10:30am, Augusta County Emergency Communications Center dispatched multiple units to a structure fire in Swoope, VA, according to an online statement.

When Verona Volunteer Fire Company arrived on the scene off Little Calf Pasture Highway they found smoking billowing from the side of the house.

Fire and Rescue crews from Swoope, Craigsville, Churchville, Staunton, and New Hope collaboratively worked to contain and extinguish the fire.

Fortunately, there were no injuries.
