HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – Add leaders of area non-profit organizations to the list of those who are nervously watching what is going on in Washington.

Most of those organizations receive federal funding and some of those funds have been frozen.

Revlon Hill is the Executive Director of The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, and she explained the results of a recent survey of funding for area non-profits on Early Mornings today, March 3, 2025.

“I would say that there’s still a lot of unknown out there,” said Hill. “Not knowing if the funding is going to be unfrozen. But the percentage of funding from non-profits who take it back to us, that they think they could possibly lose, was between none and 85%.”

Hill added that this year’s Great Community Give, which is set for April 16th, could be its most important in the eight-year history of the event.
