WOODSTOCK, VA (Rocktown Now) – A potential bomb threat put Central High School on high alert yesterday.

According to Shenandoah County Public Schools, at around 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, October 20, a note was found in a student restroom that referenced the threat at the school.

Officials immediately notified Central’s School Resource Officer and the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office.

Additional law enforcement personnel, including the Firearm and Explosives Detection K-9, quickly responded and searched the school, but nothing was found.

Due to an increase in reported bomb threats, authorities remind the community, and especially students, that all threats will be thoroughly investigated and could lead to disciplinary action, including criminal charges.
