HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The former James Madison University national champion football player who served with U.S. Capitol Police during the January 6th riot found himself on the frontlines of a different battle today.
Harry Dunn, a 2005 JMU graduate, spoke on behalf of the Biden-Harris campaign this morning outside the Manhattan courthouse where former President Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial was preparing to close.
Appearing alongside actor Robert DeNiro and fellow former officer Michael Fanone, Dunn pulled no punches while criticizing the 45th president.
“Donald Trump is the greatest threat to our democracy and the safety of communities across the country today,” Dunn said. “He has encouraged and continued to encourage political violence.”
National polling still shows Trump with a slight lead over President Biden, even though he’s the first president to ever be indicted on criminal charges.
