HARRISONBURG, Va. (JMU Athletics) – James Madison Head Women’s Basketball Coach Sean O’Regan has added incoming freshmen Maddie Oliver and Ty Pinkston to the 2025-26 roster.

The pair join November signees Jemma Eleby, Grace McDonough and Delilah Soltys, and transfers Kylie Marshall (SMU), Bri McLeod (SMU) and Regina Walton (Elon).

Maddie Oliver | Guard | 6-0 | Norwell, Mass. | Norwell High School:
• Averaged 18.2 points and 9.3 rebounds per game as a senior
• Helped lead Norwell (23-2) to state final appearances during junior and senior seasons
• Named to Boston Globe Super Team
• 4x South Shore League All-Star
• 3x South Shore League MVP
• 2x Boston Herald All-Scholastic
• 2x Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic
• Eclipsed 1,000 career points as a junior
• Played AAU for the MCW Starz

• Daughter of Kristine and Justin Oliver
• Has an older sister, Grace, and an older brother, Jackson
• Grace was named the 2023 Gatorade Player of the Year in Massachusetts and currently plays at Wake Forest after spending her freshman season at Colorado
• Jackson played first base for Suffolk University (2021-2023) in Boston

Ty Pinkston | Guard | 5-9 | Richmond, Va. | J.R. Tucker High School:
• Named team MVP during senior season
• Helped Dr. Phillips High School (Orlando, Fla.) capture the FHSAA Class 7A state championship as a junior
• Regional champion for Dr. Phillips’ flag football team, playing wide receiver/safety
• Pitched and played third base for the softball team as a freshman and sophomore
