Dennis Wayne Shifflett, 79, of New Market, died October 23, 2024 at Sentara RMH Medical Center in Harrisonburg.

He was born November 25, 1944 in Harrisonburg and was a son to the late Sheldon Vernon and Virginia Hardesty Shifflett.

Dennis retired as a high bay driver from Marshalls Distribution Center in Bridgewater.

Surviving Dennis are his wife; the former Phyllis Seekford, three sons; Dennis Fiddler, of Winchester, Jeremy Shifflett (Leslie), of Eastville, VA, Timothy Shifflett (Katie Purvis), of Platte City, MO, 13 grandchildren; Jamie, Erika, Shaina, Jared, Jordan, Joshua, Larissa, Layla, Skylar, Darrell, Charlee, Easton, Waylon, four great grandchildren; Jaxon, Rowyn, Adaleigh, Gracelynn, two sisters; Lessie Simmers, of Rawley Springs, Ethel Alexander, of Linville, and a son-in-law; James Lam, of New Market.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter; Tracey Blosser Lam and six siblings; June Campbell, Sam Shifflett, James Shifflett, George Shifflett, Bobby Shifflett, Welty Shifflett.

His body was cremated and a celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
