HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Harrisonburg man charged in connection with a shooting outside city limits will spend two more months in jail awaiting his first court appearance.

Online records show that a hearing for Alfred Dale Eppard that was originally set for this morning was continued until June 25 in General District Court.

The 60-year-old Eppard faces five charges, including attempted first-degree murder, in connection with the February 19 shooting on Peake Mountain Road west of Harrisonburg.

The 58-year-old victim was taken to UVA for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Rockingham County Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson, the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute.
