ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Drivers using Route 33 west of Harrisonburg will need to plan for delays caused by ongoing roadwork.
Ken Slack with the Virginia Department of Transportation said in a release that flaggers and pilot trucks will control traffic between Dry Run Road and Switzer Lake Road, the steep winding stretch approaching the West Virginia State line. The work zone is active on weekdays during daylight hours. Depending on the type of work contractors are doing.
Meanwhile, shoulder closures will be in place along I-81 in Shenandoah County this week as crews improve drainage beside the roadway.
That work is happening between 8-and-3.
