ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) – Day 2 of the Anthony Eugene Robinson trial continues today at Rockingham County Circuit Court.

Detective Randall Life from Harrisonburg Police Department was called to the stand and testified on the extraction of the defendant’s cell phone where several searches of pornography were made and details about the dating apps Tagged and Plenty of Fish.  

Several items were submitted to evidence including the shopping cart found at the scene. DNA swabs were taken from the cart. Photographs of room 336 at the Howard Johnson’s hotel was also submitted as evidence.

Other items included but were not limited to white sheets, the cellphone of one of the victims, Tonita Smith, and the cellphone of the defendant, black rope and yarn, white nylon rope and clothing belonging to Tonita Smith. 

Further evidence will be discussed further for the rest of the day. The trial is expected to last for seven days.
