David Wayne Showalter, of Bridgewater, retired photographer and farmer, went home to be with his Eternal Father on Saturday, July 6, 2024.  He was born on August 25, 1954 to the late Nathan and Mary Showalter.  As a young person he was reconciled to his Lord and Savior and served Christ and others since then.

On October 15, 1977 he married Ferne Bernhart, who survives.  They were blessed with six children; Darlene (Naylor Abror), Rose Mary (Allan Good), Edwin, Melody, Faith and Fonda Showalter.  Also surviving are two brothers; James (Loretta), Isaac (Emma), and six sisters; Elizabeth (the late Raymond Shenk), Rachel (the late David Bennett), Orpha Simrell, Naomi (Timothy Shell), Miriam Showalter and Anna Showalter.

Friends may call at their home at 20 Grand Ridge Lane, Bridgewater for visitation and viewing on Monday and Tuesday from 2 PM- 4 PM and 6 PM- 8 PM.

The burial will be at Weavers Mennonite Church Cemetery on Wednesday, July 10 with viewing beginning at 8:30 AM and the committal and burial service at 9:00 AM, followed by a service at Calvary Mennonite Fellowship at 10:30 AM.
